Who are homeless people? This question has a lot of different answers. The answer depends on each individual. Some people think the homeless people are those who live on the streets or roads. some people think the homeless people are those who live with their relatives or family members. There is no correct answer; it totally depends on the individual. It doesn't matter what people think is the correct answer because the fact is that the need for the food and shelter is increasing each year, and we need to do something about it.
The need for the food in 2004 was seventeen percent, and the need for the shelter was thirteen percent (Muhammad, par. 3). In 2009, the need of the food jump to twenty six percent, and one fourth of the US state reported increase in the need of shelter (Pierog, par. 3). Over the last four years, the increase in the demand of the food is more than double.
One of the biggest causes of increase in the foos is recession. There are a lot of people who are out of job right now. Other causes include low-paying jobs, high cost of housing, medical care cost, childcare costs, child abuse, and transportation expenses (Chapman, par. 3 and 4). No matter what causes people to become homeless, what matter is that it is increasing every year, and people don't do anything to stop it?
This problem of homeless is expected to increase next year. People don't see it coming, but really soon it will hit all of us. People don't bother to help because they think this not their problem, but it is. It they don't start taking care of this problem really soon then they have to suffer in the future.
There are many ways that people can help. some people think donating money is the only way and that's not true. I don't blame them for thinking like this because I used to thhink that, too. they are just not famililar with other ways. Other ways include donating old clothes, participating in the activities like packing food for homeless people or serve food to homeless people so what are you guys waiting for? TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW!
